Paul and Arjen took off to Hong Kong in relation to Connector’s unit production. They’re making sure that the Connectors will be widely available soon. I’m currently in the US to lecture on design at ASTC in Philadelphia, NYC and will continue to San Francisco to meet with all kinds of great people from the Valley. Jonno take care of Postmachina things in Amsterdam and makes sure E keeps running smoothly with Andreas and Jonas who are in Belgium. All we can say is, time zones aren’t our friends. But we manage thanks to the power of laptops, iPhones and wifi.
The clip above is Paul being interviewed about E at the PICNIC conference a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately it’s in Dutch, but you’ll get a nice preview of the latest Connector prototypes. Plus, you’ll be able to see Paul talk instead of me for a change.
Okay so this week was one hell of a week for us. The buildup towards our Beta release, getting the first users in, first feedback, first controversy about autotweets, our Pre-PICNIC event… and then PICNIC08 at Hot 100, Virtueel Platform, our Jailbreaking PICNIC gig and… getting invited by Amazon’s VP and CTO Werner Vogels, on stage at his PICNIC keynote in the main conference hall. It was pure insanity.
We’ve reached D-Day here at E HQ, or should we say E-Day? Pun intended. Tonight we’ll be hosting the AWS Pre-PICNIC startup event with Marvia and we have some cool announcements to make. To give you a little preview, check out the video. Many thanks to Tom Klaver for shooting and editing, the video is just awesome.
We’ll also be presenting E in several spots at PICNIC, making some guest appearances and we’ll basically be on the PICNIC grounds all week. Hope to see you there!
We’re proud to introduce you to our new E website. We launched it this morning and have already received many compliments and great comments about it. As you can see on the website, the launch date of E is very freakin’ soon, so we’re working around the clock to get everything finished. As you might have noticed, E will be supported through the mobile browser on your cellphone. More on that later.
