Internal Countdown August 28, 2008

E, and Mobile App from Renato Valdés Olmos on Vimeo.

Let’s start off with a teaser. We’ve made some very important developments the past couple of months, and you’ll know about them soon enough, they’ll be going live onto Hellomynameise.com very soon. Altough some of you already have had a sneak peak at the full blown product, the launch date is still depending on a couple of location-based factors we need certainty about before we can open up. That being said, we extremely psyched about the amount of attention we’re getting for the platform we’re launching. The video clears up a lot of issues we encountered to expand user base. You can expect a very transparent post about the future of E and its launch right here, very soon. Until then, support our startup pockets by getting a shirt!

E, Since 2007 August 21, 2008

Over a Year of E from Renato Valdés Olmos on Vimeo.

We’re nearing launch here with the E team, working ’round the clock to prepare for our big launch. A lot has changed since we came up with E in 2007, and we’re really psyched about the latest developments. Check out the video for a look into our kitchen. Cameos by some Dutch (and international) ‘web celebs’ and maybe you!

E Promo

Most of the service integration is done. The prototype will be roughly 70% the size of the version we presented in Barcelona. We’re almost ready to launch the service to a closed public. Hang on a little longer. Put up a request and we’ll send you a cool vinyl E sticker.

Just a little teaser video to show off how easy service integration will be with E. Just enter a username, password and hit ‘Integrate’. We’ve used one of our favorite services, Twitter, for this particular example. Check it out on Vimeo or YouTube.

On Conferences and Barcelona

E Prototype

We presented our new prototypes at the iFest ‘08 conference in Barcelona last weekend. Besides being a super lot of fun, we met some fantastic people over there. People we’re really digging the new prototypes, playing with the UI and asking so many questions! We even met the guys from IDEO. Check out our Flickr account for some pictures of our stay over there, and stay tuned for some cool new material!

E at iFest ‘08, Barcelona July 8, 2008

E

Tomorrow the team will be leaving to present our new prototypes and service release to the audience at iFest ‘08 in the beautiful city of Barcelona, Spain. We’ll be sharing experiences with the likes of IDEO (First Apple mouse), Pleo and OLPC especially within the field of product design. To tease you guys, we’ll have more shots later, here’s a photo on our Flickr featuring the new prototype. Let’s see if you can spot it.

E Progress June 19, 2008

E Gesture

So, time for a little update. The image above is the connection gesture, by the way, just in case people fail to understand the concept. In essence, that physical connection, is E. But its greatest power will come from our online service, which we demo’ed at the MediaGuild Next Level event earlier this week. We got on stage to give a keynote speech about our progress and were very pleased to have been able to receive so many parties interested in our product. We’ve booked a lot of progress over the past couple of weeks. For starters, we have a lovely functional UI on the service, integration with some great social networks and collaborations on the way. Most progress has been booked with E’s financial side however. All we can disclose for now is that we are in talks with several parties, and things are looking good. Have a look at our Flickr for a peak at the event. HaasBerend also went up on stage, as well as Made By Sofa’s Dirk (of Versions, Disco and Checkout fame. Apple Design Award, anyone?). We’ve been fans of their work for a long time now. It was great to meet Dirk and everyone else who came to see us. Cheers! More pics after the click.
